Periodontology is the specialty of dentistry that studies diseases of the structures that support the teeth, including the cementum that anchors the tooth root to the jawbone, the alveolar bone that surrounds where the teeth are located within the jawbones, and the periodontal ligaments, which are connective tissue fibers. Periodontology, which deals with gum diseases and tissues around the mouth, is used in the treatment of gum diseases caused by bacterial plaque, systemic diseases or nutrition.

FLAP OPERATION

It is the process of cleaning the root surface and shaping the bone tissue by lifting the gum in deep gum disorders.

GINGIVECTOMY AND GINGIVOPLASTY

Gingivectomy is the surgical removal of gum tissue. It can be applied in cases of excess gum tissue, advanced gum diseases or for aesthetic reasons.

 

GINGIVAL RECESSION TREATMENT

In case the root surface is exposed, oral health and an aesthetic appearance can be achieved by using gingival graft for sensitivity or for aesthetic purposes.
