Endodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with the dental pulp, enamel and dentin, the base layer of the tooth. Endodontic treatment usually deals with the root of the tooth and includes conditions such as infection, inflammation and cleaning. It is a method applied when the pulp, the soft tissue consisting of nerve endings and connective tissue cells, is affected by decay, infected, inflamed or after a trauma such as a crack or fracture in the tooth. This usually involves root canal treatment. The main goal of endodontics is to preserve and restore the health and full functionality of the tooth by treating the infected tooth or nerve.

CHANNEL TREATMENT

Endodontic treatment, i.e. root canal treatment, is the process of removing the pulp tissue that is inflamed for various reasons or infected by the settlement of microorganisms and cleaning, shaping and filling the canal cavity with tissue-friendly canal fillers. The whole of these procedures is defined as root canal treatment.

APICAL RESECTION

Surgical removal of infected tissues at the root tip where root canal treatment is inadequate.

PULP AMPUTATION

It is a treatment in which only the pulp in the crown is cleaned and filled. It is generally preferred for milk teeth.
